Bed Sized Folding Sleeping Mats

This rustic Indonesian sleeping mat is used as a base for your shikibuton, transforming your bedroom into a traditional Japanese sleeping sanctuary. These mats are not like a Japanese tatami mat as they have a more rustic weave but serve the same purpose. The 100 x 200 cm sizing is designed to minimize the quantity of mats necessary to create the base for your shikibuton. The folding feature of these sleeping mats allows you to move them out of the way or store them if only needed when guests come over. This feature offers a flexible product that is sometimes needed in smaller homes.

The sleeping mats are made of genuine woven rice straw with a very rustic weave and the filling is also compacted rice straw for a completely natural product. This makes the sleeping mat have a bit of a softer feel compared to the Bed size tatami mat that comes in the same sizing but is not foldable. 

These mats will have imperfections in the rice straw weaving. They are not the same weave as the Japanese tatami mats.
